A U.S. television commercial for a maintenance company explains how they can help the most resistant to technology to repair their machines riddled with viruses. And at some point, the ad shows an iBook that has a BSOD … Huh, what? Ah, the joys of low budget ads created by advertising unconscious! Si SA Jobst saw this, he would be furious! Moreover they show the iBook running Windows XP.

Asus has just the new series of notebook F50 created with the new technology for processing of materials called Asus Infusion. You see those horizontal lines that make both pinstriped gangsters from the’30s? E ‘the’ reason inlaid wave “which according to Asus should provide greater resistance to scratches and elegance (certainly, as the concept of elegance that you have). The monitor is 16 inches with HD resolution (1366 × 768) and supports the 16:9 formats. The weight of any laptop in the new series does not exceed 2.8 kg. Within the F50 series, we find several models with specific characteristics. The F50Z, for example, are based on AMD Puma mobile platform chipset M780G and AMD Athlon 64 x2.

Gigabyte offered at Mobile World Congress, the latest convertible M1028 Notebook. Scheme the 10-inch touch screen has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and can be rotate to change Notebook in a tablet pc, like to ‘Asus T101H. All of the standard hardware by means of Intel Atom N270 laptop 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, Bluetooth, WiFi, Express Card slot, 1.3-megapixel webcam and Windows XP Home. Presently no known disonibilita and prices, but the before model with 8.9-inch screen, the ‘M912, was announced at cost only slightly superior than the € 400. Read the full story »

The Epee laptop from Asus T101H offered at CES 2009 shares with the smaller T91 features the equal hardware, except for the touch screen reversible by 10 inches. The size of the houses is home to a better keyboard by means of a shape similar to that of additional products in the Epee family, but also very similar to Apple keyboards. While laptop sales exceed for the first time those of desktops, Sums tempt to change their fleet of PCs, however, have to take into account the additional price mobile computers. For the first time in the history of the industry, sales of laptops have surpassed those of desktop computer, according to a study by analysis firm I Supply. In the 3rd section of 2009, they increased by almost 40% over the same stage last year to a total of 38.6 million units, while at the same time, sales of desktops declined by 1.3% to 38.5 million.

MSI has formally announced the latest U115 Notebook whose main feature is the simultaneous use of a solid state disk and a traditional hard disk. The SSD is use as the main disk, so as to attain a faster startup of the operating system, while the HDD is dedicated to storage of data and can be curved to increase the autonomy of the battery. The scientific talk about an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz, RAM up to 2 GB, 2-megapixel camera, while the disks are 3 options: 8GB SSD / HDD 80GB, 16GB SSD / 120GB HDD and 32GB SSD / 160GB HDD.

Circulate in the network be the first picture of what must be the latest ASUS S121. The livery in fact very closely recalls that of ‘Exec S101, the Notebook “luxury” of a house with Asus 10-inch screen, but the biggest of this model seem to be able to accommodate a 12-inch screen. Presently no extra technical note nor any money, but we can venture, it will not be lower than dell’S101, around € 600. But given the size and price range, it can still be considered a Notebook?
